The mission of the Christian Education Ministry at Oceanview UMC is to teach the Truth, facilitate spiritual and personal growth, and help develop and nurture Christian relationships.
For adults we seek to do this by providing a forum for learning, sharing, and growing with God's word and direction; for discovering spiritual gifts; and for using these gifts to develop relationships within the church and community.
We have several Sunday morning opportunities at 10:00 a.m.
Adult Bible Studies uses the International Lessons Series which is a comprehensive curriculum that helps adults focus on the Word of God and reflect on personal, family, church and community concerns. This group is lead by Verlin Thompson and meets in Room 49.
A group that studies a book related to spiritual issues meets in the choir room and is lead by Linda Jordan, Oceanview's Music Director.
At different times other class including Parenting, Purpose Driven Life, Marriage and Family Issues, Stress Management, and Short Term Bible study are offered.
